An Artist

Posted by Karl on July 29, 2012 at 2:45 PM Comments comments (0)

An artist in which ever field they are in do not go by the rules of the professional business world. Money is not such a concern for them. It is the passion in what they do that drives them to create from their heart and soul. Not many people understand this and they confuse them for the suits who go from 9 to 5 job. We are moody and we have our bad days as well...

As an artist we have our ups and downs, times when you feel your ideas are a drag and you cant focus on anything...happens to us all

so when that happens i disconnect from the virtual world and just take things slowly..and i even mean walking slowly and just absorbing the world around you.I see so many people just hurrying from place to place all busy and not opening their eyes and walking..

I am writing this based on this documentary i just saw on the band Coldplay. What they said is so true on how i feel about fellow artists around the world.

Any artist let it be a musician or cg artist or a painter has this passion for his work which makes him want to wake up from bed every morning.Unlike business minded individuals we create something open to critisim from everyone in the world. We have to learn from them.

The band made music purely cause the...

Creativity

I realised that animation and creativity are linked together but in professional life they are different especially for freshers looking for a lucky break to start their careers.

Initially i wanted to get into animation for the VFX part of it. I admit i had it confused with regular animation which dishes out movies like Toy Story and Shreck...i had the idea of Transformers and Terminator when i went to enroll myself.

SO i looked at the showreel consisting o...

Not many people know but this isn't your every day 9 to 5 job where you finish your studies and then sit at a desk pushing papers the whole day. Basically what they teach you in the institutes are just the tools of the software and how to use them and what they can do.Now its upto you and your knowledge on how you use them in your work.

Some of my friends are lucky they got a job right after they finished their course, also timing plays a part cause others are jobless for ove...

Today i saw a girl going to college and she had a way of walking. As she contacted she twisted her leg form the ball of the foot and as she went to her peek position she glided up,don't know how to describe what i saw properly but this is the best i can do.

So moving on i have to now animate two scenes bringing out character personalities of charlie chaplin and Al pachino, so if thats not challenging enough we gotta submit it for feedback tomorrow so i have less than 24hrs to...

Walks

Posted by Karl on November 24, 2010 at 11:27 AM Comments comments (0)

I just realised that in this fast paced world we live in if we just take a small step back and slow things down how amazin the world around us really us and how much you get to learn thru observation alone.

For example just sit and observe the people walking on the street, see how they scamper from one place to another minding their own business asif they got blinkers on their face.No two people walk the same,so its interesting when you try to figure out their personalities b...

Why Animation

Posted by Karl on November 23, 2010 at 11:13 AM Comments comments (0)

Why animation you might ask me...Its because it gives you the freedom to do anything you wish to create. As artist of this new digital age we have extra help thanks to advancement in technology and special effects.

Learning is a continuous process which is a must in this industry, you must have this desire to ask questions and know how things work the way they do.In a software they teach us the tools as in what is there and what that tool can do,its upto us how we use the...
